Just wanted you all to know how much I appreciate your prayers and thoughts of Kierra. Surgery is always awful and stressful, but this was definitely the best we've been through. Kiki was very alert in recovery and was asking for a drink. She usually goes to the ICU, but this time she didn't. She went up to normal peds and was soon asking the nurse for some real foods (which she usually wouldn't have until the next day). She had surgery at 7:30 am and by 1:30 pm she had eaten a full lunch of real food. As you probably know she went home that same day. We feel really blessed.

She did go home with 2 tubes in her but one came out that Friday. Taking out that tube made Kierra feel real good and it was hard to keep her down. By Monday she was asking to jump on the trampoline. Wednesday we went back in and they took out her other tube, but put the one back in that makes her hurt. The next day it was really sore and bleeding so the nurse told us to go ahead and take it out to. The second it was out, Kiki was just fine and ready for life.

Crazy Hair Day

Just thought all of you would like to see some pictures of the kids with their crazy hair. They have been doing red ribbon week this week at school (which is saying no to drugs). So they get to participate in doing different things each day and today was crazy hair day.

Deer Hunt

Dave's family went up on Cedar Mountain Elk/Deer hunting. Caysen and me went up and camped at Duck creek with them on Friday night. Mom and Dad and Jeff's family came up on Saturday for lunch. We only saw a couple does but we had a good time. Davey had an elk tag and both him and me could of /should of shot one but it was getting dark and hard to tell what they were for sure.

I hunted by Baker Tuesday morning and saw nothing. Caysen and I had a nice hike below Veyo Tuesday night and saw nothing. Wednesday morning Dave, Trent, and me went to the Joshua Trees in the west hills. Trent saw 2 doe and I saw 1 doe and 1 buck. This is the biggest buck I have shot so was pretty excited - it is my first 4-point (it's a 4X3 but I'm still counting it).

Just wanted to let you all know what is going on with Kierra. She has another bladder stone, a little bigger than an apricot pit. She is going in the hospital on Monday, and she will have surgery on Tuesday. We feel very blessed because this time she has not been in pain like she has had before. She has had a pretty good attitude though she is understandably scared. She knows what she will have to go through.
